It also opens the Google Assistant app to do its actions, not the google home app. Create a shortcut that when you ask Siri a certain question it will instead trigger an action on your google home. Please provide step by step instructions for me if you've created a shortcut allowing Siri to activate your Google Home automation routines.
There's no reason to have Shortcuts and Routines. Now you can choose a simple phrase of your own, create almost any action and play music, news, radio, podcasts, audiobooks or sleep sounds. How may I set this up since iPhones use Siri and not Google? I don't want to have to open the Assistant app every time to run an automation.

The key to creating Shortcuts is in the Google Home app, a few lines down from Routines. You can tap on one and edit it as you like or create a shortcut from scratch. Once you’ve cleared those hurdles, though, you’ll see your custom shortcuts at the top of Shortcutsmenu, where you can toggle them on and off individually. To add more, drag each one on top of the group. Touch and hold the app, then lift your finger. Once you’re finished, you’ll see your shortcut at the top of the page with a toggle. You can tap this toggle to turn each shortcut on or off without deleting it. This is particularly handy if you need to troubleshoot a shortcut.
